Flamenco is an imported Swedish Warmblood Stallion,  registered, branded and permanently approved and  licensed by the  Swedish Warmblood Association.  ALL offspring are eligible for registration in either the full or appendix Swedish registry.  Whether your goal is to produce sport horses and ponies for dressage or jumping, Flamenco can offer you these great qualities:

  • Exceptional intelligence and superior work ethic

  • SUPERB disposition

  • Very high degree of trainability

  • Impeccable natural cadence and rhythm

  • Agility and athleticism

  • Strong toplines with elegant neck sets

Flamenco produces lovely foals out of many types of mares, and they are winning championships and ribbons at such prestigious shows as the Devon Horse Show, Dressage in the Sandhills,  Elan Classic, Old Salem Farm, etc.  Flamenco's foals inherit his beautiful topline, kind and willing temperament, have elegant neck sets and are highly trainable.

During 2003, Flamenco competed successfully in FEI dressage at the Intermediare 1 level, with scores into the 70's.

Flamenco's natural athleticism and great mind allowed him to progress up through the levels of dressage rapidly.   In fact, Flamenco was able to progress from just knowing basic walk/trot/canter when being put into training with Hokan Thorn in the spring of 1999 to being able to perform FEI Prix St. Georges tests, with scores to the mid-60's and winning in just a little over a year .  Flamenco was the FEI Prix St. Georges Champion at the 2000 NCDCTA Championships, won the 2000 NCDCTA "Horse of the Year" at Prix St. Georges, and won NCCTA "Horse of the Year" awards at Intermediare 1 in 2001 and 2002.  In 2003, he was the USDF Region 1 Reserve Champion at FEI Intermediare 1 and won the USDF All-Breeds award at Intermediare 1 Musical Freestyle with a median score of 70.25%.   Flamenco is training all Grand Prix movements, and still successfully competing and receiving high scores. Flamenco competed with Leif Aho at the Heidelberg Cup October 2010 in Orlando Florida and qualified for the Region 3 Championships in PSG with scores in the mid 60's.

Flamenco carries outstanding bloodlines of proven international performers. His family includes many Olympic and international dressage stars, such as:

  • Sire, Flyinge Flamingo.  Flamingo was a 1984 Olympic Team Bronze Medalist, winner of GP Kur at 1986 World Dressage Championships, named Sweden's Dressage Horse of the Year multiple times, etc.

  • Full sister, Flamkella.  Flamkella was Sweden's 1991 most elite broodmare and dam of Flyinge Amiral.  Amiral was ridden by Kyra Kirkland in the 1996 Olympics, placed 10th overall at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, and was ranked 5th in 1996-1997 and 8th in 1997-1998 FEI/BCM World Dressage Rankings.

  • Brother, Juvel (Flamingo-Utrillo) .  Juvel was a member of the 1988 US Olympic dressage team, 1991 Pan Am Games Silver Medalist, AHSA Grand Prix Horse of the Year.

  • Brother, Rochus.  Rochus was a 1988 Olympic Team Silver Medalist.
