Donafur is a 2005 registered and branded Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International (RPSI) colt by the Grand Prix Oldenburg dressage stallion Donatelli and out of the PREMIUM Oldenburg mare Furianna.

~ Donatelli ~

 

Donatelli is by the excellent breeding stallion Donnerhall, who combined a sports career at Grand Prix level ridden by Karin Rehbein with a remarkable breeding performance, including more than 40 approved sons. Donatelli's damsire is the stallion Pik Bube I, also known as a stallion producing dressage horses. In the third and fourth generation we find the valuable bloodlines of Graphit and Daimyo. The success formula of Donnerhall and Pik Bube I we also see in the pedigrees of Davingon, Don Primero, Duntroon, Da Vinci, Dream of Glory, Domburg, Donnerbube and Don Pikado. Dam Granny's Girl is a full sister to the Oldenburg approved stallion Placido. Donatelli's motherline starts with the mare Fusion (v. Frustra II). This line produced also the approved stallions Picard, Dobrock (both at Celle), Daimler, Picadilly (both at Hannover), Grandus (at Zweibrücken) and Lanthanid (in Denmark), as well as the Olympic horse Prestige with Franke Sloothaak. Donatelli had an outstanding 100 day Performance Test at Neustadt-Dosse in 1997. He was "Leistungsklasse I" with a total-score of 121,26 points. For the dressage elements he obtained high marks for walk: 9, trot: 9, canter: 9 and for his character he got a 10! Although Donatelli has a pedigree for dressage, he also showed jumping talent with scores of 7 and 8 for these elements. Donatelli had an extremely good sire's debut, due to his oldest offspring. His son Dynamico became premium stallion at the Oldenburg stallion show, his daughter Djerba was sold very expensively in the Oldenburg Auction and Donatorio won the "Materialprufung". In 2001 his very beautiful son Divertimento was approved. Donatelli himself won 5 times in the S-class in Germany and was fifth in his first Prix St.Georges competition. Donatelli is approved for Oldenburg, Hanoverian, Westphalian, KWPN Register A, Canadian and  Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International (RPSI).

~ Furianna ~

Shown above at 15 years of age in foal with Donafur

 Furianna's sire is Fascination by the legendary Furioso II and out of an Absatz dam line mare. Fascination is one of the leading sires of  premium foals registered with the Oldenburg Verband in the United States. He has sired two approved sons including the top scoring stallion at the 1994 100 day stallion test, Flambeau. Furianna was an 8.5 premium foal. She was later presented as a three year old and once again was rated as a premium mare. Furianna has an exemplary personality and is amazing to watch move. Her trot is extremely floaty with a fabulously free shoulder. Her canter is big, balanced and soft. Furianna was successfully shown to 1st level dressage AND also successfully competed in the hunter ring both on the flat and over fences before being retired as a broodmare.

I was fortunate enough to meet in person and watch Donatelli compete at his Grand Prix debut and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY at his AMAZING free shoulder and animated movement!!!! I am happy and SO excited to say that Donafur is following in his sire's footsteps with his amazingly free shoulder and animated movement. Donafur also has the quiet, kind, willing and VERY friendly temperament just like his sire and dam.

We feel Donafur has the breeding, temperament, movement and conformation to be a wonderful stallion for not only warmbloods but we plan to breed him to pony mares for sport ponies. ALL foals will be eligible to be registered and branded with the Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International (RPSI) registry and German Riding Ponies Registry.

We plan to breed Donafur to a few select mares in 2008.
