Galouvet
is an outstanding 2005 AWS filly by the 16.2H Holsteiner (AWS red
preferred) stallion Romeo Sullivan and out of the 16.3H Selle Francais
mare Galouzet (by the 17H LEGENDARY stallion GALOUBET).
Galouvet
has correct conformation with a lovely neck and topline. Galouvet
carries some of the top names in the Holsteiner and Selle Francais
bloodlines such as, Rantares, Ramiro Z, Cor de la Bryere, LaCoste,
Ladykiller, Farnese, Galoubet, Alme Z...just to name a few. Galouvet is
a VERY smart filly and CRAVES attention. She loads easily on a trailer,
lunges (walk/trot/canter), crossties, bathes, and is great for the vet
or farrier. She has NO Vices! She is a very easy keeper and will settle
quickly in to whatever situation you put her in. Galouvet has had a bit
in her mouth, saddle pads on her back, and someone leaning over her from
the ground. She is currently 15.1 hands (at 2 years old) and should
mature to 16.1-16.3+hands. This lovely filly has endless potential in
jumping or dressage as her pedigree will show. Personally I think this
filly has upper level dressage potential as she shows tremendous
balance, reach and tremendous collection when she plays in her paddock.
UPDATE:
On October 14 Galouvet was presented to the AWS and was the highest
scoring female (out of 20 horses of ALL ages), she won her bronze medal
(under 2 MATURE stallions) and won her "blue preferred"
status. Galouvet was also branded with the AWS brand.
UPDATE!!
Galouvet is the LEADING 2 year old AWS filly in the NATION for
2007!!!!!!!!!!
Below
is some information a few of the Legendary stallions in this filly's
pedigree:
Romeo
Sullivan's bloodlines include Rantares, Ramiro Z, Cor de la Bryere,
Ramiro, LaCoste, Ladykiller, Farnese to name a few. Romeo is the type of
stallion that anyone can handle and his gaits are to DIE for! This young
stallion is currently being ridden on the flat as well as showing talent
over fences.
Rantares
is a successful FEI dressage competitor and in the top 13 dressage sires
in the US as ranked by USDF Approved Holsteiner and Oldenburg. Rantares
has over one hundred registered offspring. He has a very high percentage
of Premium mares and foals, and two times produced the highest scoring
mare of the entire approval trip. A number of foals scored 9 on gaits.
Rantares has fox hunted, won combined training events, and continues his
career winning FEI dressage. He remains sound after 14 years of hard
competition.
Galoubet
(1972 - 2005) was a horse ridden by the French rider Gilles-Bertran de
Ballanda, in International show jumping and is a sire of show jumpers.
Galoubet was by the great sire Almé out of Viti. He was retired to stud
at 10 y.o. and has since sired many top performers. Galoubet ranked
third on the WBFSH standings for 2000/2001, largely on the basis of his
son Baloubet du Rouet who won three World Cup Final's in a row (Helsinki
1998, Gothenburg 1999, Las Vegas 2000) as well as team bronze at 2000
Olympics in Sydney. Galoubet has not only been a very good sire in his
own right, but also appears to be a sire of sires, aside from Baloubet
and Quick Star, there are Qredo de Paulstra (sire of Quattro who stands
at the Böckmann stud in Oldenburg and sire of Kristy Oatley's Quando
Quando), Quiniou (sire of French team horse at the Sydney Games,
Barbarian) and the Belgian stallion, Skippy II whose progeny are making
their mark on the international stage. He has also proven a good sire of
broodmares.
